How It Works
  1. Open MLM > Configuration > Settings and set commission percentages per level, the withdrawal minimum, an optional Default Sponsor, and (optionally) Paid Agent Registration.
  2. Create Ranks (Bronze, Silver, Gold…) with criteria and bonuses.
  3. Customers sign up at /web/signup with a “Become an agent” option and a referral code.
  4. On every qualifying order or paid registration, commissions are distributed up the sponsor line automatically.
  5. Members track earnings and their downline at /my/mlm and request withdrawals for admin approval.

Everything an administrator needs, shown in the order you actually use it: build your roster, see the network, define ranks, watch commissions, approve payouts, collect registration fees and configure the rules.

1. Members

The master roster of every agent. Each row shows the member's unique referral code, their sponsor (upline), how many direct referrals they have, the join date and their active status.

2. Network Tree

The full genealogy, visualized. Every node shows the member's rank, team size and lifetime earnings. Branches load on demand, so networks with thousands of members stay fast.

3. Ranks

Define achievement ranks (Bronze, Silver, Gold...). Each rank sets a minimum number of direct referrals, a minimum team size and a rank bonus. A daily scheduled action promotes and rewards members automatically.

4. Commissions

A complete ledger of every commission generated, from sales orders and paid registrations. Each line shows who earned it, the level, the source order and the amount. Refunds and cancellations reverse them automatically.

5. Withdrawals

Payout requests move through a clear Draft -> Requested -> Approved -> Paid status bar. Approve or reject in one click; the amount is validated against the wallet and every step is logged in the chatter.

6. Registration Payments

When paid signup is enabled, each new agent's one-time registration fee is a real Odoo sales order - fully invoiceable and reportable alongside the rest of your sales.

7. Settings

A single Configuration screen controls the whole system, organized into four sections shown below.

7a. Commission Depth & Default Sponsor

Active Commission Levels sets how many upline levels earn on a sale (here 10). Default Sponsor places any member who signs up without a referral code under one chosen account, keeping a single unified tree.

7b. Commission Percentages (per level)

Set the exact percentage each level earns on a sale. In this example Levels 1 to 4 pay 5% each and deeper levels are 0 - only the levels you fill in pay out.

7c. Withdrawal Minimum & Paid Registration

Set the Minimum Withdrawal Amount before a payout can be requested. Turn on Paid Agent Registration to charge a one-time joining fee, and choose the fee amount and the product added at checkout.

7d. Registration Commission (per level)

Paid registrations can pay their own commissions up the line. Choose how many levels earn on a registration fee (here 8) and the percentage for each - a second, independent plan just for signups.

1. Agent Signup

Visitors become an agent directly from your website. The form adds a "become an agent" option and a referral code that auto-fills from a referral link, so every member is placed under the correct sponsor.

2. Member Dashboard

A branded dashboard with the member's referral code, a shareable referral link and live totals - earned, withdrawn, pending, available balance, direct referrals, total downline and current rank.

3. My Earnings (before withdrawal)

The My Earnings tab is a running wallet statement. Here the member has earned a +37.50 Level 1 commission, giving an available balance of 37.50 before any withdrawal.

4. My Network Tree

Members explore their own downline as an interactive tree, expanding each branch on demand to see who they have referred and how their team is growing.

5. Request a Withdrawal

The member requests a payout against their balance. After requesting 10.00, the balance shows 27.50 and the request appears in history as "Requested", awaiting admin approval.

6. My Earnings (after approval)

Once the administrator approves and marks the withdrawal as paid, a -10.00 "Withdrawal WD00001 (paid)" line is posted and the balance settles at 27.50 - closing the loop between the portal and the back office.

Requirements

Odoo 18.0 (Community). Depends on Sales, Website Sale, Contacts, Portal and Signup. No external Python libraries required. Configure an outgoing mail server to send the withdrawal and rank notification emails.
